Motor Yacht Service Centre has been over 40 years in the making. Our Managing Director Dean Ryder started his boat building career in Auckland in 1979.
As the years progressed Dean worked for Riviera Marine and was responsible for their warranty and service work.
After Riviera was sold in 2004- the Luxury Motor Yacht brand Maritimo was born on the Gold Coast of Australia.
In 2005 Dean Ryder Boat Builders became known under the trading name Maritimo Service, specifically catering for this new luxury brand of boats.
Maritimo Service was the sole warranty and service agent for the luxury brand, travelling to all corners of New Zealand for the respective owners.
As the years flew by, the number of boats that came under the care of Maritimo Service grew and so did the different brands of Luxury Motor Yachts.
In 2011, Maritimo Service re-branded to Motor Yacht Service Centre to more accurately reflect the business operations that it had diversified into.
To this date, Motor Yacht Service Centre continues to complete warranty and service work to Maritimo Luxury Motor Yachts, but has a large fleet of boats under its care, including Maritimo, Riviera, Grand Banks, Squadron, Azimut, Ferretti, Sun Seeker and Horizon to name a few.
We currently have a fleet of around 60 vessels in our regular yearly service plan and more, from local and abroad, having one off and bespoke alterations. The MYSC family continues to grow every day.
At present day, MYSC is very much a family business with 4 members of the family ensuring the day to day operational needs of the business are met. Those family values felt by all our boat owners.
MYSC has an expert team of 14 dedicated men and women. There is nothing that we can’t achieve together.
